12 years ago my best friend at 54 grew dissatisfied with how safe was aging and wanted to have some things done. I was aghast at what age says she was wanting. When I say she didn't NEED it, I mean SHE DIDN'T NEED IT. She had taken care of herself throughout her life, her body was the envy of women of age 30, and face had nary a deep line anywhere. She truly could have claimed to be 35 or younger. She did have some small, barely noticeable lines on her forehead, but that was all. She groused about her eyelids, thought her chin was sagging, thought her neck looked crepy, and thought under her eyes were baggy. None of that was true. But nothing I said would dissuade her, and who was I to invalidate her? I only asked that she let me go to the Dr with her. She said she already planned on asking me to go for moral support. When we got to the exam room and the Dr came in he looked her over. He then asked her what she was there for, what her wants were. She began pointing out the things she felt needed work. He looked her over again and told her, "I don't see any of the flaws you are seeing, I truly don't". He looked at me and I told him I was concerned for her because of how unnatural women looked after procedures. He then addressed both of us saying that women often come out of procedures looking like that because they have way too many things done. He listed all the boric, fillers, lifts, implants and such. He then addressed her asking if she'd let him do a dermabrasion type of procedure before anything else? He explained what it would ask entail. She agreed and he made an appointment for her. A week later we left his office and when I tell you I was scared for her face I mean I've never seen such raw red skin before. For days it flashed and peeled. She faithfully applied the crabs he gave and within days it all cleared up. By the time her follow up appt came around my friend looked better than ever! The Dr asked her if she was still wanting work done and she says, no she was happy with how she looked. He gave her some creams and told her what kind of diet to follow, and some other creams (that were affordable!), to stave off the natural aging process for as long as possible. My friend passed away in 2022 from covid, unfortunately, but she died beautiful and was happy she didn't go through with work after didn't need. Thanks to that fantastic Dr she ended up as beautiful as when she was in her twenties. Some Dr's just do the work out of an interest in $$, or because they likely don't want the patient to go to a butcher and do it to appease her. Women, we are beautiful because if what and who we are. We need to embrace those natural aging results, they are our badges of experience and we EARNED them. I love you all, my sisters on this earth. Do you, but just remember you are simply beautiful because you're YOU!
